Question: What is your motivation to work as a medical professional?

Dr. Elaine Reno (ER Physician): The variable nature of the job. I get to teach, work with residents, and take care of patients. Every day is different and I am always learning and I meet people from all walks of life and who have lived all over the world.

Taryn Ketels (Registered Nurse in Emergency Department): Being able to change lives and able to change their experience in the hospital.

Benjamin Lantow (Registered Nurse in ED, Paramedic, Search and Rescue): Finding a way to help others and continue to engage in my interests.

Dr. Liz Malik (PGY2 ER Resident): It is a fulfilling career. I get to work hard and use my brain every day. I get to impact people’s lives.

Dr. Stephanie Nill (First Year Anesthesiologist): I love helping people and I love the fast paced environment.

Kit Lein (Registered Nurse in Emergency Department): I love working here because of the residents, I can learn from them and they can learn from me. I love seeing them grow from their first year to a fellow or an attending.
