We understand how brutal the pre-health (pre-med) process is because we’ve been through it. We know it’s far removed in substance and experience from a healthcare career, and that the admissions process to health professions schools is extremely competitive. We get it, getting into medical school is tough and you need every advantage you can get. That’s why we developed this course. We are the faculty at one of the best medical schools in the United States, and have developed a program for YOU—the pre-health (pre-med) student.

Through this course you will not only become certified in wilderness first responder (a well-recognized ~70h healthcare certification) but participate in a course specifically developed for the pre-med student including; learn basic med school courses in approach to sick or injured patient, hear from admissions staff on a successful application, learn about #MedEd social media, and gain back-stage access to the healthcare world. We are passionate about being healthcare providers, and will help you understand what a thriving career looks like.

Taught by faculty of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, nearly two week, hands-on introduction to emergency, wilderness, and global health medicine class. In addition to gaining hands-on experience, students will get to know successful medical school faculty and physicians, and get the inside scoop on the medical school application process and a career in healthcare.
