In medical school, I published in WEM with Dr. Cushing and was a student leader of the the WM electives and interest groups. In residency, I founded a WM track, completed AWLS as well as became an AWLS instructor. Also, I published an article for ACEP on WM trauma. I recently have completed my WM fellowship at the University of Utah. We researched the survival benefit of avalanche airbags. Our research has been presented at the WMS meeting, has been submitted to Resuscitation for publication, and will be presented at ACEP. My major interests within WM are expedition support, education, and involvement with Ski Patrol. I am starting in the ED at the Medical Center of Aurora. There I plan to help with EMS education and WM education for the FM residents of the HCA hospitals. I also am planning on working with Copper Mountain on their Medical Volunteer Patrol. Outside of medicine, I am learning Spanish, fixing up our new home, rehabbing a knee injury and planning our next international trips.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
