Joel Vaughan has degrees in both Business and Spanish from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. He obtained his EMT in 2010 and is currently employed at the University of Colorado Hospital in the Emergency Medicine Department.
His career in medicine began as a love for the outdoors, and has since perusing a career in Wilderness Medicine Education, with an ultimate goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. He is an AWLS instructor and has assisted with the instruction of both Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder courses with the CU Wilderness Medicine Section. He is an avid rock climber, backpack, looking to combine the love of the outdoors and medical education.
