Dr. Tracy Cushing attended NYU Medical School and completed her Emergency Medicine residency in Boston at MGH/Brigham. She served as the first Wilderness Medicine fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, completed an MPH at Harvard, and now directs the Wilderness Medicine fellowship at Denver Health/University of Colorado. Academic interests include altitude illness prevention, search and rescue, and environmental health.
Dr. Cushing serves on the Board of Directors of the Wilderness Medicine Society and the medical director of Colorado Outward Bound. She serves as the Associate Editor of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine and is an instructor of Advanced Wilderness Life Support.
